Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen has said that a Joint Commission will be formed for Rohingya repatriation.
The foreign minister said this in responding to a question of a journalist after a discussion organised by Bangladesh Enterprise Institute at a city hotel on Wednesday.
“We discussed the matter with China and Myanmar at the sideline talks of UN General Assembly. A Joint Commission will be formed so that Myanmar can take back their citizens” he said.
“The world community have shown their full solidarity with Bangladesh on the Rohingya issue and said that Myanmar nationals must be repatriated to their homeland,” he said.
Myanmar has agreed to provide national identity cards to Rohingyas and make correction in their forms, the minister added.
