Journalist, poet Mashuk Chowdhury no more

Masushk Chowdhury, poet and the Chief News Editor (CNE) of Bengali daily newspaper “Bangladesh Pratidin”,  is no more.

He breathed his last at Rushmono Specialised Hospital in the capital on Tuesday midnight.

His brother Ashraful Haider Chowdhury said his first namaz-e-janaza was held at Hazipara while his second namaz-e-janaza was held at Uttar Madartek Baitullah Jam-e-mosque in the city on Wednesday. Later, he was buried at Madartek graveyard.

He was undergoing treatment at the Pan Pacific Hospital in city’s Shahjahanpur area since June 16 for pneumonia. He had tested negative for coronavirus.

He worked at different daily nationals of the country. Bangladesh Pratidin was his last house of profession.
