Journo Sumon lands in jail after remand

Imran Hossain Sumon, senior reporter of a private television channel was sent to jail after completion of his remand in a case filed under the Pornography Control Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Moinul Islam sent him to jail rejecting his bail petition on Wednesday (July 22).

Earlier on July 20, the court placed him on a one-day remand after DB Inspector placed him before the court seeking a four-day remand.

On July 19, police arrested him in connection with a case filed by his female colleague.
