Jute mill workers waiting for minister’s decision

About 50 thousand workers of state-owned jute mills in Khulna region are waiting for minister’s decision.

There is a schedule to hold a meeting between leaders of the workers and minister around 3.00pm today (Sunday) at BJMC conference room.

Workers have postponed their hunger strike for three days. But if their demands are not meet they will go on the strike again.

Workers are observing various programmes to meet their 11-point demand including payment of regular wages and gratuity facility for retired workers.
