Sports Desk: Bangladesh cricket team's former skipper and current chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Game Development committee, Khaled Mahmud has been taken to Singapore, aiming to his better treatment.

The cricketer was carried by a special air ambulance, and departed Shahjalal International Airport around at 11.50 am, on Tuesday. He would be admitted in Parkway East Hospital for his treatment.

Earlier on Saturday, he returned Dhaka from Cox's Bazar after participating the 2nd version of the Walton Masters Cricket Carnival (MCC).

Khaled Mahmud Shujon has been suffering from high blood pressure for a long time. After suffering from High BP and High diabetes, his physical condition went beyond control and he became sick on Sunday.

He was third Test captain of Bangladesh cricket team, having led them in nine matches in 2003. He also led them in 15 ODIs the same year. Khaled Mahmud retired from international cricket in 2006.
