The India captain Virat Kohli got his 27th Test ton. He is still unbeaten at the crease and is guiding India towards imposing a heavy lead over the visitors.

After bundling out Bangladesh on 106, India have already posted 296/5 on the board and are currently leading by 190 runs.

Skipper Virat Kohli became the first Indian cricketer to slam an international century in the pink-ball Test match, which is being played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Kohli added 41 runs to his overnight score of 59 to complete this milestone. He reached the three-figure-mark in 159 balls.

Kohli equalled Sachin Tendulkar to become the second-fastest (141 innings) to 27 Test centuries. The 31-year-old also became the fastest (439 innings) to 70 international hundreds. He is followed by Tendulkar who reached 70 tons in 505 innings followed by former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting who took 649 innings.

Earlier in the opening day of the contest, Kohli also brought up his 5000th run as Test captain in his innings. He became the fastest to 5000 runs as captain, completing the feat in 86 innings.
