Staff Correspondent: The body of Arafat Rahman Koko, younger son of late president Ziaur Rhaman and former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, has arrived at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

A Malaysia Airlines flight carrying the body left Malaysia at 9:40am and arrived here at around 11:30am today (Tuesday).

The five central leaders of BNP including Dr Abdul Moin Khan and Abdullah Al Noman received Koko’s body at the airport.

The body of Koko will be taken straight to his mother’s Gulshan office where she has been since January 3.

The body will be kept at the Gulshan office where his mother Khaleda Zia and close relatives will see him for the last time and will pay tribute before being taken to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque for the namaz-e-janaza which will be held after Asr prayers.

Koko is expected to be buried in Banani graveyard in the afternoon after his 2nd namaz-e-janaza at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the city.

The BNP chief’s youngest son Arafat Rahman Koko died at a hospital in Malaysia on Saturday from cardiac arrest.

The first namaz-e-janaza of Khaleda Zia’s son was held at the National Mosque of Malaysia (Masjid Negara) on Sunday noon.
