Laminated posters not allowed: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said laminated posters will not be allowed to use during the Dhaka-10 by-poll.

The CEC made the announcement while addressing a meeting with the candidates of Dhaka-10 by elections in capital’s Agargaon on Sunday.

Aiming the aspirants, he said, “Posters can be hung on 21 places fixed by the EC and in the offices set up in each ward. The candidates cannot hang posters in other places like streets or lanes. No laminated posters can be used.”

He said, “Offices will remain opened during voting. We will issue circular so that officials can cast their votes on that day.”

“Each party will be allowed to hold five processions. But, no public meeting is allowed,” he added.
