Liberation War Affairs Minister, his wife admitted to hospital

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque along with his wife got admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka as both were found infected with coronavirus or COVID-19.

Sufi Abdullahil Maruf, senior information officer of the ministry, confirmed the information on Sunday (June 14).

Sufi Abdullahil Maruf said, "They were undergoing treatment at their residence after being diagnosed with coronavirus. Later on Saturday night, they got admitted to the CMH."

"As they started showing symptoms similar to that of coronavirus, they took coronavirus tests on June 11. The test results came back positive the following day," he added.

Minister Mozammel requested everyone to pray for the early recovery of coronavirus patients.

The minister's personal secretary Habibur Rahman too tested positive for coronavirus and is receiving treatment at residence as per the advice of doctors.
