‘List of freedom fighters in January’

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said, the list of freedom fighters will be published in January. Later, two months will be allowed to rectify that.

The minister made the announcement while addressing a view exchange meeting with freedom fighters at Naogaon Sadar Upazila Parishan on Thursday noon.

He said, “Mistakes took place during quick publication of Razakars’ list. I have expressed sorrow and apologized for that. It was disgraceful.”

“If the history of the Liberation War could be presented before the new generation by preserving its real history and indiscriminate memories to be found across the country, the history of the great war will be erased one day,” he said.

“Decisions have been taken to build same design monuments in locations of wars, mass killing, memories of independence war and killing grounds,” AKM Mozammel Haque said.

Naogan deputy commissioner and convener of Naogan Zila Muktijoddha Sangsad Md Harun-Or-Rashid presided over the program where Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar MP, chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Md Shahiduzzman Sarkar and others attended.
