Lokman placed on 7 days remand

A Dhaka court placed Mohammedan Sporting Club director in-charge M Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan on a seven-day remand in a case filed over gaining illegal wealth.

Dhaka Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayes passed the fresh remand order on Sunday after hearing.

Earlier, investigation officer in the case produced the accused before the court seeking seven days remand.

On October 27, ACC assistant director Saiful Islam filed the case for gaining Tk5.34 crore illegally.

Lokman was arrested at his home in the capital's Monipuripara for illegal possession of alcohol on September 26, a few days after Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) busted casino operations at Mohammedan club.
