Maha Saptami today

Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community, entered the second day with the Hindu devotees across the country celebrating Maha Saptami on Saturday.

The worshippers are singing hymns and offering flowers seeking the blessings of Durga, the saviour of humanity from all evils in the Maha Saptami.

Draped in new dresses, a large number of devotees irrespective of ages are thronging the Puja Mandaps and offering prayers before the Goddess Durga, seeking divine blessings for peace, prosperity and welfare of the country and its people.
