Man strangulated to death in Ishwardi

Police have found a person dead near a family graveyard at Goalbathan village in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna early Sunday (April 19).

Police suspected that the person was strangulated to death by miscreants.

The deceased was identified as Dinaj Pramanik, 45, a resident of Sultanpur village of Dashuria union in the upazila.

Bahauddin Faruqui, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ishwardi police station, confirmed the matter to risingbd.

The reason behind his death could not be ascertained immediately, the OC said.

Police are investigating the incident, he added.
