Man surrenders to cops after killing wife

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: A man has surrendered to the police after killing his wife at Paba upazila in Rajshahi.

Rentu Ahmed alias Shariful,36, a mason from Kolar Tikor village, went to Damkura Police Station around 3:30am on Friday claiming that he murdered his wife Lovely Begum, 28,

Later, police arrested Rentu, said Majharul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station.

Rentu locked into an altercation with his wife suspecting that she was involved in an extramarital affair, the OC said quoting the arrestee.

Police recovered Lovely’s body from their house in the morning.
