Walton Central Zone took on BCB South Zone in the final round of franchisee based Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Friday.
Walton Central Zone lost six wickets in just 97 runs after the franchise chose to bat first after winning toss.
But Marshal Ayub showed confidence to fight strongly. He went to the crease after fall of the third wicket and had been fighting in one side.
He hit 20th century of his first class career with 10 fours and two sixes.
Though he returned to the pavilion after a while of his century. He was managed to post 116 runs off 186 balls.
With his brilliant century, Walton surpassed 200. Marshal Ayub’s best innings in first class cricket is 289. He hit the innings in 2013.
