Mashrafe’s wife also infected with Covid-19

Sumona Haque Sumi, wife of former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, has been infected with Covid-19.

Family sources confirmed this to risingbd on Tuesday noon.

Mashrafe also shared his family condition at a views exchange meeting through video conference on Monday. 

Mashrafe said his wife and his younger brother along with him have been infected with coronavirus. 

His son and daughter have been sent to their grandfather’s house in Narail and they are fine there, he also said.

Mashrafe, a ruling party MP from Narail-2 constituency, tested positive for the Covid-19 on June 20. Later, he tested positive for the virus once again despite passing 14 days of his initial detection.

After Mashrafe tested positive, his younger brother, Morsalin Bin Mortaza, also tested positive.
