Mask graft: ACC summons JMI owner among 5

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned owner of JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Ltd and four other businessmen to quiz over mask and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) corruption.

A notice signed by ACC Director Mir Mohammad Joynul Abedin Shibly issued in this regard on Wedneday.

The individuals who were summoned are: Mrs JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Ltd’s Chairman Md Abdur Razzak, Toma Construction and Co. Ltd’s coordinator (medical team) Md Motiur Rahman, Elan Corporation Ltd’s Chairman Aminul Islam Amin, Meditech Imaging Ltd’s director Md Humayun Kabir and Dhaka Central International Medical College and Hospital’s Chairman, also owner of Lexicon Merchandise and Technocrat Ltd Md Motazzerul Islam Mithu.

Of them, Abdur Razzak, Motiur Rahman and Aminul Islam Amin were summoned to appear before the ACC Headquarter on July 8 while Humayun Kabir and Motazzerul Islam Mithu on July 9.
