Massive preparations to face flood situation

Staff Correspondent: The government has taken massive preparations to face flood situation across the country. 17,550 metric ton foods and Tk 2.95 crore have been allotted for relief to flood affected people in 64 districts.

State Minister of Disaster Management and Relief Dr Md Enamur Rahman came up with the disclosure in an inter-ministerial meeting over pre-preparations of flood at the conference room of the ministry in the Secretariat on Friday.

Enamur Rahman said, “Water-level has increased in different rivers across the country due to incessant rain and onrush of water from upstream.”
