'Metro Rail will bring change in capital’s traffic system'

Metro Rail Project will bring a change in capital’s traffic system throgh easing the perennial traffic congestion and providing an improved, faster, comfortable and environment-friendly means of public transportation.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said this on Wednesday while inaugurating the installation of metro rail’s tracks and a power line in Diabari area.
During the inauguration, the minister said the metro rail will be launched in December 2021 while celebrating the golden jubilee of the country’s independence.
The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), a government-owned company, is implementing the metro rail project.
