Minister refrigerator factory catches fire under control

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: The fire broke out at a Minister-brand refrigerator factory of MyOne Group has been brought under control.
A total of 16 fire units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after 5.5 hours frantic efforts.
Earlier on Friday morning, devastating fire broke out at the factory in Dheerashrom in Gazipur city around 7:30am on Friday.
Senior Station Officer of Tongi Fire Service Md Atiqur said 16 units from Joydebpur, Sreepur, Kaliakoir, Tongi and Uttara fire service stations went to the spot and doused the fire.
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately, Atiqul said.
Gazipur deputy commissioner SM Tarikul Islam said, a probe committee has been formed in this regard.
