Minni put on 5-day remand

Barguna Correspondent: Ayesha Siddika Minni was put on a five-day remand in a case filed in connection to Rifat murder in Barguna.

Humayun Kabir, inspector (investigations) at Barguna Sadar police station and investigating officer of the case said, Minni was produced before the court around 3:00pm on Wednesday seeking seven days remand. The court accepted five days of police remand after hearing.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, police took her to the district Police Lines for interrogation over the incident. Later, she was shown arrested around 9:00pm after 12 hours investigation.

However, family members of Minni said that Minni was arrested to allegedly save others accused in the case.
