Misha-Zayed panel wins Shilpi Samiti polls

Actor Misha Sawdagor has been re-elected president of Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti.  Zayed Khan has been elected general secretary.

The Misha-Zayed panel won 18 out of 21 posts and will lead the association till 2021.

Ilias Kanchan, the election commission chief, announced the results around 2.00am on Saturday after day-long voting at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in Dhaka.

Misha bagged 227 votes, defeating his rival, independent candidate Moushumi (102 votes).
Monowar Hossain Dipjol and Masum Parvez Rubel have been elected vice presidents.

Other elected office bearers are Assistant Vice-president Arman, International Affairs Secretary actor Mamunun Emon, Sports and Cultural Affairs Secretary Zakir Hossain, Organising Secretary actor Subrata, Office Secretary Jackie Alamgir and Treasurer Farhad Hossain.

Elected ten executive members are Aruna Bishwas, Anjana, Afzal Sharif, Asif Iqbal, Alexandar Bow, Rozina, Nasrin, Maruf Akib, Joy Chowdhury  and Jasmine.
