Mother ‘kills’ her two children

A mother has been arrested on charge of killing her two children in capital’s South Goran area.

Police recovered the dead bodies of two children from a house on Saturday morning.

Police suspected that the two children were slaughtered and burnt to death.
The deceased were identified as Mehjabin Alfi, 11, and her daughter Jannatul Ferdous, 6.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khilgaon Thana Moshiur Rahman said police arrested mother Popi for interrogation. After killing two children, Popi tried to commit suicide, he added. 

Popi used to reside in a rented house with two children, and her husband who is a businessman lives in Shariatpur.
