Multi-tier security for nat'l mourning day

Senior Correspondent: The law enforcement agencies took a multi-tier special security approach for smooth celebration of the National Mourning Day on August 15.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia on Wednesday said the President, Prime Minister, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Ministrers, MPs, diplomats and other high officials will place floral wreath at the graveyards of Shaheeds.

Multitier security plans have been taken to provide ensure securities to them. The whole areas were brought under monitoring of close circuit cameras (CCTVs).

After visiting security measures at Dhanmondi-32, he said, dog squads will keep patrolling in and archways will be setup there.
