Murder accused killed in ‘gunfight’

An accused of a murder case was killed in a reported gunfight with police in Shershah area of Bayezid Bostami Thana in the port city Chattogram.
The deceased was identified as Imdad, 38.
A youth named Ripon was stabbed in Shershah area of Bayezid Bostami Thana on Tuesday night.
Duty officer of Bayezid Bostami Thana Sub-Inspector Md Rubel said the gunfight took place when a team of police went there to arrest the accused in the murder case.
Police rescued Imdad with bullet injury from the spot, and he was taken to a hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.
