Nakhalpara, Arjatpara set to put on lockdown from this evening

The government is set to put Nakhalpara and Arjatpara of Tejgaon area of Dhaka city on lockdown from Sunday evening, as part of efforts to strangle the proliferation of coronavirus amid a bulging caseload.

Police have already taken all-out preparations in this regard.

Md Hasnat, Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Tejgaon Police Station, confirmed the news to risigbd in the afternoon.

He said, “Nakhalpara and Arjatpara are set to put under lockdown. For this, announcement is being made in the areas through loudspeakers. People are asked to complete their works necessary by the evening.”

“People of the areas have also being warned not to go out of home without extreme emergency,” he added.
