Name found in Razakar list: Golam Arif Tipu expresses discontent

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) chief prosecutor Advocate Golam Arif Tipu has expressed his discontent as his name was published in the Razakar list released by the Liberation War Affairs Ministry.

He said, “I’m an allowance-received freedom fighter. The government made me chief prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in 2010. But, my name is found in the list of Razakar today.”

He came up with the grievance in a press briefing at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) premises on Tuesday noon.

Golam Arif Tipu demanded probe over how his name was included in the list and steps against the misconduct.

He also hopes that the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs will come to understand its mistake and take steps to amend the list very soon.
