Nat’l handball team goalkeeper killed in road crash

Goalkeeper of Bangladesh national handball team Sohanur Rahman Sohan was killed in a road accident at Daulatpur upazila of Kushtia.

The accident took place this morning in Hossenabad Centre Intersection of the upazila. Sohan and another youth, on a motorbike, were going to a local market when a three-wheeler (locally called Nasiman) from the opposite direction hit them, leaving them critically injured.

The injured were sent to Daulatpur hospital and shifted to Kushtia Sadar Hospital. Later, Sohan died on the way to Dhaka hospital.

Arifuzzaman, officer-in-charge of Daulatpur Police Station confirmed the matter to risingbd.
