No Razakar will be spared: Information Minister

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has said that those who are Razakars and support them will not be spared.

The minister said this while talking to the reporters after placing wreaths at portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of the 49th Victory Day at Dhanmondi in the city on Monday.

The minister along with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

It is a dishonorable event for us and 30 lakh martyrs as the ‘Daily Sangram’ described executed war criminal Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Molla as ‘martyr’.

In responding to a question, the minister said a show cause notice has been served by the authorities concerned to Daily Sangram asking its answer why the declaration and media list facility of the newspaper will not be cancelled. 

A mouthpiece of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, the Daily Sangram published a front-page article on December 12 naming Abdul Quader Molla, assistant secretary general of Jamaat, as a 'martyr'.
