‘No decision yet over legality of casino’

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the government has not made any decision at the highest level to legalize the casino yet.

The minister made the opinion while addressing reporters after a meeting with representatives of World Bank and United Nations at secretariat on Tuesday noon.

In reply to a question regarding casino in exclusive tourist zones for foreign tourists, he said, the casino issue is still under surveillance.  

“Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism may have own thought. But, the government has not made any decision yet. So, nothing can be said now in this regard,” he added.
