‘No illegal shops will be allowed in Gabtoli’

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam said, there will be no illegal shops-hotels inside Gabtoli bus terminal.

The mayor made the announcement after visiting Gabtoli bus terminal in the capital on Wednesday noon.

Wastes were piled up in the backside of Gabtoli bus terminal due to illegal shops and hotels.

Earlier, the mayor along with local member of the parliament (MP) visited the bus terminal. Meanwhile, he expressed dissatisfaction watching the dirty atmosphere.  

Atiqul Islam said, “These wastes came from local restaurant and shops. The environment of terminal is getting polluted following these wastes.”

We expect that everyone will assist us to get rid of this situation, he added.
