‘No scope to cancel election results’

Election Commission Senior Secretary Md Alamgir has said there is no scope to cancel results of Dhaka city polls. But the court can do it if it wants.

He came up with the statement to reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon on Wednesday noon.

Md Alamgir said the Election Commission (EC) issued gazette on election results. So, now there is no scope to cancel it any more. But only the court can do it. If someone wants, he/she can move to the court.”
