‘No violence during Durga Puja’

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam has said that there is no information regarding any threat and violence during Durga Puja.

He came up with the statement after inspecting the security management at Dhakeshwari Temple in the city on Thursday.

The DMP commissioner said “Police are fully prepared to tackle any kind of violence during puja. We do not have any information about any threats during this festival.”

He added “Everyone and everything is under our surveillance”
