Nusrat Jahan at ICU

Nusrat Jahan, beauty queen of Tollywood and a Member of Parliament from Basirhat in West Bengal, was admitted to ICU of a private hospital in Eastern Metropolitan Bypass after being critically ill on Sunday at around 9:30 pm.

And news about the cause of the illness was reported in the Indian media “due to excessive drug use”.

However, doctors said “she began breathing problems due to side effects of the drug”. Besides, Nusrat’s body was not well for several days, according to her relatives.

But Nusrat continued to work as Parliament member and the films with her illness. But she was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night when her condition deteriorated.

Doctors said Nusrat’s condition had improved slightly since Monday morning. She is still being held in the ICU.

Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee became concerned over the news of Nusrat’s illness. The chief minister herself has investigated the physical condition of Nusrat.
