Obaidul Quader to return home Wednesday

Secretariat Correspondent: Road, Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader will return home on Wednesday after treatment in Singapore.

Sheikh Walid Foyez, information officer of the Bridge Division confirmed the matter on Sunday.

“He will return home by a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG-085) around 6:00pm on May 15,” said the information officer.

Walid Foyez also said, “He (Obaidul Quader) talked to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over phone around 10:00am today and finalized the date to return home.”

Md Abu Naser, deputy chief information officer of Road Transport and Highways Division said, Obaidul Quader is scheduled to return home on Wednesday. He is fully fit now.

On March 3, Qauder was initially admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital following breathing complications. Tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery. He was flown to Singapore the next day for treatment.
