One killed in city ‘gunfight’

A suspected terrorist was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with RAB in Beribadh area on Tuesday midnight.

The deceased was identified as Shahid alias Kana Shahid. He was accused in more than one dozen cases, claimed RAB.

According to a message sent by RAB headquarters on Wednesday morning, acting on a tip off, a RAB team conducted a drive in Beribadh area and sensing the presence of law enforcers, the terrorists opened fire upon the RAB men forcing them to fire back in self-defence that triggered a gunfight.  

Shahid was rescued with bullet injury and he was immediately taken to a hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.

One RAB member was also injured in the gunfight.
