One more death, 786 fresh positive cases from Covid-19

One more person died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 183 in the country.

Besides, 786 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 10,929.

Prof Dr  Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation on Tuesday (May 5).

According to DGHS, a total of 1403 individuals have recovered from the disease so far since Bangladesh recorded its first Covid-19 case on March 8.

“We've carried out tests on samples collected from across the country and 786 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 10,929,” she said.
