Over 1.5 crore families receive relief goods

More than 1.5 crore families have received relief goods from the government as humanitarian assistance in the coronavirus crisis.

A government statistics on Saturday (June 20) said, about 2,56,000 metric tons of rice have been allocated across the country till June 19. The number of beneficiary families is 15,645,967 and the beneficiary people are 68,551,144.

Besides, about Tk 123 crore has been allocated in cash. Of this, about Tk 95,83,72,264 have been allocated as general assistance and T k842,142,406 have been distributed already.

Tk 27.22 crore has been allocated as baby food assistant and about Tk 232,232,826 have been distributed so far. The number of beneficiary families is 744,590.
