Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday night.
“The prime minister discussed different state-level issues, especially her recent visits to Italy, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Spain, with the President,” President’s Press Secretary M Joynal Abedin said.
The press secretary said during the meeting, the President and the prime minister enquired each other about their health.
The premier reached the Bangabhaban at 7.30pm. On her arrival, the Prime Minister was received by President Abdul Hamid and his spouse Rashida Khanam with a bouquet.
The prime minister also presented a bouquet to the head of the state attended a dinner at Durbar Hall here.
President’s wife Rashida Khanam, Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and secretaries concerned were, among others, present.
