PM expresses dissatisfaction over Razakars’ list

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed dissatisfaction as names of freedom fighters’ found in Razakars’ list.

She opined, it’s a bad task.

The premier made the opinion while addressing a meeting of Awami League executive committee at Ganabhaban on Wednesday evening.

Sheikh Hasina said, “It cannot be a list of Razakars’ anyway. I know how much painful it was who found their names at the list of Razakars’. And it’s normal. So, I will tell the freedom fighters those who were named at the list, to take stay calm.”

“There is nothing to be hurt. Freedom fighters are respectful. We will rectify the list,” she added.

Earlier on December 15, the Liberation War Affairs Ministry published the names of 10,789 Razakars, who collaborated with the Pakistan occupation army in carrying out mass killings and atrocities against the Bangalees during the 1971 Liberation War. But, the list drew huge criticism.
