Panic grips Popy after neighbour tests coronavirus positive

Popular actress Sadika Parvin Popy left Dhaka for her birthplace Khulna before beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. She has been staying there for last three months. Although there is much panic in Dhaka over coronavirus, Popy was very good at her home in Khulna. But one of neighbours was detected positive with coronavirus. So, she is now suffering from terrible panic.

‘I have been fine for so long. But now acquaintances are also being infected. A corona patient has been detected who lives in the house just opposite of mine. I’m feeling too bad for the guy. Now, I am very scared about the matter, especially for my parents as they both are aged. Their immunity is naturally lower than that of us. We usually do not go out of home. But maid comes from outside. Now we are spending time in panic. May Allah protect everyone.

Popy made her debut as a film actress in 1997 with Bangla film ‘Coolie’. Directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar, the film casts actor Omar Sunny as her opposite role. The film ‘Coolie’ was a major success. Her second movie Amar Ghor Amar Behesht, casting Shakil khan as her co-star, was also released in late 1997.

Popy performed in Ke Amar Baba with popular hero Manna as her co-artiste in the film, which was also commercially successful.She has also won four National Awards for Best Actress.
