Papiya, her husband remanded again for 15 days

Two Dhaka courts on Wednesday placed suspended Juba Mohila League leader Shamima Nur Papiya and her husband Mofizur Rahman alias Sumon Chowdhury on a 15-day remand in three cases filed against them with Airport and Sher-e-Banglanagar police stations.
Earlier, two Dhaka courts placed Shamima Nur Papiya and her husband also on a 15-day remand in the three cases.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) raided two city houses of Papiya and her rented presidential suite at a five-star hotel recently.
They arrested Papiya, 28, general secretary of Narsingdi district unit of Mohila Jubo League, her husband Mofizur Rahman, and their two associates -–Sabbir Khandaker, and Sheikh Tayiba, -- from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport while trying to flee the country.
