Perera century powers Sri Lanka forward

Sports Desk: Sri Lanka are moving forward, thanks to brilliant century of Kusal Perera against visiting Bangladesh in the first ODI of three match series at R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Sri Lanka were 184 for two wickets in 28 overs till the report was filed.
Perera smashed 101 runs off 84 balls with 17 fours and a six.

His partner Kusal Mendis scored 29 runs from 34 balls with 3 fours.

For Bangladesh, spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz and pacer Shafiul Islam shared a wicket each.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first.
