Petition seeks Tk10cr compensation for death of traffic sergeant

Staff Correspondent: A writ petition was filed seeking Tk10 core as compensation for the family of traffic sergeant Golam Kibria, who was killed when a covered van hit him in Barishal.

Yunus Ali Shikdar, father of the traffic sergeant filed the writ petition with the concerned department of the High Court on Tuesday.

The hearing will be held at the HC bench of Justice JBM Hasan and Justice Md Khairul Alam.

On July 15, traffic sergeant Kibria was hit by a covered van owned by Jamuna Group in Barishal. Later, he died while undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on July 16.
