Staff Correspondent, DHAKA, Dec 25: Police recovered the tied-up dead body of country’s veteran photojournalist Aftab Ahmed from his residence in capital’s Rampura Wapda Road area on Wednesday morning.
A team of CID and DB Police already visited his residence, 63 West Rampura, WAPDA Road and police sent the dead body for autopsy.
He was a former photo journalist of the Daily Ittefaq and retired from his profession after 1/11.
He was the private photographer of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Ekushey Padak-awarded photojournalist used to live alone in his flat. His wife died seven years ago.
Aftab Ahmed was famous for his works during the Liberation War of 1971 and the famine of 1974. He received the Ekushey Padak in 2006.
