Police gain people’s confidence: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that people are now getting back their trust and confidence in the police force as they are discharging their responsibilities with utmost honesty, sincerity, devotion and dedication to ensure their security.

The Prime Minister said this while addressing the inaugural function of the five-day-long ‘Police Week-2020’ at Rajarbagh Police Lines on Sunday morning.

The premier inspected the parade and took salute (salam) of country’s different police units on the occasion.

She handed over awards to the police personnel for their outstanding performance, including heroic activities in cracking important cases, combating crimes, efficiency, dutifulness, honesty and discipline.

The prime minister, after the march-past, also visited different stalls set by the Bangladesh Police Nari Kalyan Samity (Bangladesh Women Police Welfare Association).

The police week will end on January 10.
