Police seek 20-day remand for Safiqul

Police have sought a 10-day remand for Kalabagan Krira Chakra President Safiqul Alam in each of two separate cases filed against him under narcotics control and arms acts.

Dhanmondi Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Nur Uddin, also Investigation Officer (IO) of arms case, and SI Ashiqur Rahman, Investigation Officer (IO) of drug case, filed separate petitions in this regard on Saturday.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Mahmuda Akter will hear the cases.

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) detained the five men including Shafiqul Alam on Friday and recovered a pistol and yaba from the Krira Chakra club office in Kalabagan area.
