Positive change to be seen in public transports in 2 years

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon said, positive changes will be seen in public transports in next two years.
The mayor made the assertion while addressing a round-table meeting organized by Civil Engineering Division and Nagar Unnayan Sangbadik Forum at council hall of Engineers Institute in the capital on Saturday.
He said, “It cannot be denied that people are losing their lives in city every day. The incumbent government formed a committee to identify the problem in public transport. The committee sought two years’ time in this regard. A positive changes will be seen in capital’s public transport sector.”
Sayeed Khokon also said, circulated bus service have been launched in Dhanmondi-New market, Airport-Gulistha and Uttara routes to bring discipline in public transports. Of them, Uttara circulated bus service has been shut due to some problems. Circulated bus service will be started in Old Dhaka newly.
IEB civil engineering division president engineer Habibur Rahman presided over the meeting where IEB acting president engineer Md Nuruzzaman, general secretary Khandakar Manzur Morshed, Dhaka Metropolitan North Traffic DC Prabir Kumar Roy and others joined.
