Prime Minister visits Tungipara March 17

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Tungipara of Gopalganj on March 17 to pay homage to the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking his birth centenary.

She will place wreaths at his mausoleum on the occasion of his birth centenary and the National Children's Day.

Prime minister's assistant personal secretary Kazi Nishat Rasul sent a letter to Gopalganj district administration informing about the PM’s visit.

President Abdul Hamid will also visit Tungipara on the day.

Sheikh Hasina will offer Fateha and special munajat there seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and other family members brutally killed on the fateful night on August 15 in 1975.

The birthday of Bangabandhu is being observed across the country as the National Children's Day.
