Probe to be launched against SP Harun: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said investigation will be launched against the police super (SP) Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid over his alleged role in picking up the wife and son of industrialist Shawkat Aziz from capital’s Gulshan.

The minister made the opinion while replying to reporters at his secretariat office after a meeting on Thursday.

He saod, “We have removed him from his post recently. Investigation will be launched against SP Harun.”

On November 3, Narayanganj Superintendent of Police Muhammad Harun-or-Rashid was transferred to the Police Headquarters amid allegations of picking up the wife and son of industrialist Shawkat Aziz from Gulshan.
